I started the project in October 2001, not knowing anything about my Dad's service. With a limited amount of information I was able to track most of it down.
I've contacted a number of his boot mates and as of last night have found 9 men he served with on the Neshoba that are still alive. Two of them remember him as does one of his boot mates. I've also found a man he served with on the Mt. McKinley AGC7-pictures of them in Hawaii in 1945 are on the site.
