Subject: cartilage damage

Ray, Mon, 11 Jul 2011, 15:23:45
My knee recently gave big problems. It took a few months to organise surgery and I saw your post. I did exactly what you said in your post. Before I was operated on (arthroscopy)I mention to the surgeon that I'd been prepping for it and wanted feedback on my cartilage. He laughed and said while my regime - Vitamin C, MSM, Glucosamine, etc - was probably good for my peace of mind he didn't think it would have had any practical effect.
After the successful op - he removed torn cartilage - he came to see me and said he had to tell me he had never seen such tough cartilage. I said "Like tyre rubber, hey?" He replied "Exactly!" So, thanks for the tips.
