The Miss República Dominicana Universo 2009 beauty pageant will be held on May 7th, 2009.

Miss República Dominicana Universo 2008, Marianne Elizabeth Cruz González of Hermanas Mirabal, will crown her successor at the end of this event. Cruz was named the second runner-up in the Miss Universe 2008.

Lovely 22 candidates are expected to compete.

The 2009 República Dominicana Universo Beauty Queen will represent the Dominican Republic at Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant.
