TORONTO - Lena Yanbing Ma, a model/soprano from North York, Ontario, was crowned Miss World Canada 2009 at an event held on March 21st.

The 1.80 m beauty, who currently pursues a Bachelor of Music and Life Sciences, will compete at the Miss World 2009 pageant in Johannesburg next December. She also won the Talent portion of the competition and the Best in Evening Gown Award.

Her runner-ups were Nelly Hadi (1st Runner Up)

Sabeen Chaudhary (2nd Runner Up)

Jasmine Pham (3rd Runner Up)

Patricia Singh (4th Runner Up).
