For dandruff and scalp problems, try a medicated shampoo called Nizoral. I've been using the 2% strength, which required an Rx. I think there is also an OTC version.

I use it after a regular shampoo (so I don't waste it removing grease), and leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse. I have found it very effective after H&S, etc. were not.
