Subject: Frost hardiness in large hybrid Echeveria

Calling Echeveria enthusiasts:
I was recently chatting to a nursery owner in the Southern Highlands in NSW about a magnificent display of those huge cabbage-like Echeveria hybrids that have appeared in all the garden centres recently. He assured me that they were totally frost hardy and that the rosettes would grow up to a metre across. Is he telling the truth?
