LE TOUR DE FRANCE 2005

(this is not meant to be read as poetry,
the lines are just as they are – random lines.)


Don’t ask me what’s up with the Philippines*.
I don’t watch the news, not even on ANC**.
I don’t give a damn any longer.

I’d rather watch the Tour de France.
It’s more positive.
It’s more enriching for the soul.
It shows one
that there still exist such things as
Humility,
Generosity,
Team work,
Comradeship,
Courage,
Respect,
and Fortitude
that the human spirit has resilience;
that the world allows one to dream dreams
and reap such dreams.
I’d rather watch a race that reveals the best in everyone.
I’d rather wear yellow for the Tour de France.
But I wear this yellow band for Lance.
