If you are open to the possibility that Landis is innocent (i.e., all this is moot if his B-sample passes) then you haven't convicted him on the basis of the A-sample only, have you? If you have, then that's an non-thinking attitude, which makes House's statement oxymoronic. Your application to any particular individual is your own demon.
