Hi John!

Rick has info about the sets for the Ranch House on other pages of this web-site. Just surf around a bit.

There was the house, and the barn build at Incline Village in the sixes for tourism. They only used its exterior on a few shows as establishing shots for the series. Season 10 has a show where we get our first look at it on the show. I think David Dortort used the house and barn for the Movies made after the series ended.

Lorne Green built his own house w/ the front room and exterior to match the look of The Ponderosa, in Mesa Az. in 1963. He and his wife lived there part time for a few years. It's located on the Mesa Golf Resort and still stands.

My wife Louise and I are the owners of the Ponderosa replica house built in Mesa, AZ by Lorne Greene in 1963. It was recently awarded "Historic Landmark" status by the City of Mesa. You can learn more about the house, and a fan event being held in February 2015 at www.lornegreenesponderosa.com.
