I think season five is among the best in the history of the series. I liked Guy Williams as Will Cartwright, and wish he could have stayed around.

Season five had superb dramas like "The Dark Past" and "The Quality of Mercy" and delightful comedies like "Hoss and the Leprechauns" and "Ponderosa Matador".

Here are some of my season five favorites.

She Walks in Beauty
A Passion for Justice
Twilight Town
Calamity over the Comstock
The Quality of Mercy
Hoss and the Leprechauns
Ponderosa Matador
The Dark Past
Triangle
Walter and the Outlaws

Rich, I totally agree with you about Kathie Browne. I did not like her, and I'm not sure if it was the person (actress) or the character I did not like. I'm sure they wanted us to like the character, at least initially, but I did not. I could not see Adam falling in love with her. Maybe that was the point--he was in love with the idea of a home and family and not Laura.
