WOW!! My first thought, "very dated. Looks like something pulled out of the bargain bin for $5.99". I hope there are enough seniors to buy these because the younger gen will never be attracted by this look and miss out on how this series transends time. adamseve

I love it!! I have the German dvds but these look great. The covers will really help sell them!!!

I agree. The covers look excellent, and we get double the number of pics of the guys because it's two sets being released on the same day! And all the pics look like they're from the first season -- pilot -- period. Really neat how they have the original Ponderosa Map border design around the edge of the boxes. Lots of attention paid to details. Here's hoping many consumers snap up the Red and Green (Greene!) sets so we can have many, many more seasons to come! Ya-hoo!

what is difference btween sets offered from places like dvdmediastar, etc. for 187 dollars, and season one for 51 dollars you are all talking about?...does one who wants best quality have to go to a german company to get entire series (1-14)?...i want the "tvland" quality....are these digitally remastered?..where do you get the german ones that gal was referring to?..pls advise...thanks...grannyp
