Amazing! Esp. since a lot of the fans bought the German DVDs and probably won't now buy these...

The prices will be lower than the German DVDs and you'll be able to pick them up at your local retailer or here online. Big difference. Don't presume they won't sell, and CBS/Paramount have taken marketing surveys and Andy has information that indicates they will sell in good numbers. Any completist will buy all 14 years for sure. These are region 1 and just think how many units will sell worldwide in countries that are full of region 1 players. DVD prices are low and affordable, where the German DVDs were priced higher as imports usually are and many wouldn't bother with buying them and a region-free player. Plus, the HD image quality on the standard DVD of season 1 will blow away the German DVDs far and wide. I see it starting a big craze for the entire series. Many thanks to Andy, who has worked so hard lobbying to get Bonanza on DVD. I have also been heavily involved with lobbying and it's a great feeling, along with all of you to know that a dream has become a reality. This forum has had the DVD issue brought up more than any other out there in the past 9 years.
