An interesting test. Guy comes across as pleasant, relaxed and confident.

It looks like they added some gray to his hair for take two.

Richard Basehart and David Hedison are also in the room, although you don't see them. Both were currently starring in another Irwin Allen series, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Guy does appear very confident his screentest.

This is a little off the subject, but Guy's performance in "Return to Honor" was his best of his 5 Bonanza episodes, in my opinion.

He appeared to be a true part of the family in that first episode. I wonder if the "in-house politics" may have started quickly after that first "Will Cartright" episode.

The other 4 episodes were also good, but not with the realistic aspect of the first. That is, his becoming a regular part of the family seemed real in that first episode.

I thought it would have been great to see Guy Williams as Will Cartwright remain with the show. Lorne, Dan and Michal felt otherwise, so Guy moved on to other things, like Lost in Space.
