Brazos is the head of the crew working the trail drive for the Cartwrights. I forget why he wants to kill the sheriff of the town they are camped near. But a new drover happens to be the sheriff's son, who also wants to kill to his father.

Anyway, I do remember the cook played by Edgar Buchanan (Hallelujah) who passes out in the bar while standing on a chair or table, and Hoss catches him and carries him out like a ragdoll (LOL).


The Virginian also had "The Brazos Kid" episode where Barbara Eden plays a newpaper woman trying to get ahead in the newspaper world by writing gossipy stories. She implicates Virginian as the Brazos Kid, a one-time notorious outlaw. Turns out a quiet rancher was the Kid all along, who just wants to be left alone.
