I was just watching "The War Comes to Washoe," and I don't think the reference it was in that episode.

But I always wonder, what kind of girl's name is "Morvath?" (LOL)

Very good episode, though.

One aspect of this episode is that it definitely places Bonanza's time period in the early 1860's. Most Westerns (TV and movies) seemed to take place in the 1870's to 1880's (after the Civil War).

The episode is "Six Black Horses" from season 9.
