I don't recall seeing that one before either, I will have to keep an eye out for it.

Charlotte Stewart is one of the guest stars. She had previously appeared in "The Stalker", an excellent Candy episode. Later she would portray Miss Beadle on Little House on the Prairie.

Hey Tim!

The Grand Swing just ran Thursday on Encore Westerns.

I remember Miss Beadle from Little House.

The book BONANZA (viewers guide) by David Greenland; has Incline Village listed as a filming location. I did not see anything that looked like Incline Village. I believe Rick's locations are more accurate on this episode. (Not meaning to criticize someone else's work) I like his book!

Old Tucson is recognized in the credits of the show.

I'm not sure if I have seen The Stalker. I'll look for it.

Hopefully we'll see it on DVD as the seasons roll out.

A good thing!!!

Gary

Greenland was a clueless academic.

Garner's Ranch was used in Idyllwild, Ca (I know Jack's girls) and I spent time there as a kid, and with second unit filming at Patagonia and Mescal in AZ.

That's cool!!!

Several years ago, I worked with a guy who lived in the area as a kid, and was able to watch the Bonanza crew work on location at Kernville, from time to time.

Fun stuff!

I just finished watching "The Grand Swing", and you are right, Gary, it is a very good episode!

Ben's wisdom and patience shine throughout the story. It's definitely the best Jamie episode I have seen so far.

The witness tree is one of the most memorable aspects of The Grand Swing around the Ponderosa.

It is nice seeing Med Flory as a good guy like Clint, as I remember him well as a bad guy in "The Saga of Whizzer McGee."

Hey Rick!

More filming? Business or pleasure?

Do they still use Kernville as an active filming location?

Do you work in show biz? (as they say)

I will celebrate 6 "lustrum" ( From Rooster Cogburn), in Portland television this march.
