My understanding is that TvLand shows only the first six seasons and then goes back to season one. The actor who plays Adam left the show after six seasons, but I've seen some of the later episodes and they are just as good. Like you, I'm a newcomer to Bonanza, but I literally love it. I'm not sure that what I've told you is correct. Maybe someone on here with more knowledge will let us know.
