A quick note, Rick had told me about how some of the episodes were extremely good quality, and just by curiousity I checked out the same ones he mentioned in my German sets. Turns out the ones he mentioned were also very good in the German sets, better then other episodes in season 2. I'm not sure if it's really that they did a better job on season 2 then season 1, but perhaps some of those episodes were in generally better shape when they remastered them. Take for instance The Dark Gate is also in extremely good quality in the German season 2, which matched what I was told about the US release of the Dark Gate. While I don't doubt mistakes were made in season one when they remastered it, it's also true that some episodes were just in better shape already in season 2, rather then so much they did a much better job on season 2. However, I won't argue that they didn't do a better job, cause I haven't made a critical review of both versions, German and US, but anyway some food for thought.

As I mentioned to Andrew, season 1 by CBS was excellent in quality and befitting for the show's 50th anniversary. Season 2, Vol. 1 had some problems I noted and didn't look as good, where the German counterpart looked better and Season 2, Vol. 2 was back at that excellent image quality that we first saw in season 1. Definitely worth buying and the volumes will grow as the years roll by and Andy is there to supervise things!
