Subject: Animal couple busted for child abuse, child porn after sickening images found on cell phone they left at Walmart

Two north Florida "animals" are facing child porn charges after photos showing them raping a 4-year-old girl were found on a cell phone they left at a Walmart.

Pictures on the phone showed convicted sex offender Alan Johnson, 33, and his girlfriend, Jennifer Sparks, 37, abusing the girl "in every way imaginable," Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott told WSOC-TV.




"My most seasoned detectives here said that its the worst they've ever seen," he said.

A shopper found the phone in a shopping cart at a Cape Coral Walmart on June 2 and turned it in, police said.

Investigators from the sheriff department's sexual predator unit recogznied Johnson's phone number because he's a registered sex offender.

Johnson was convicted on child porn charges in 2003 and was sentenced to more than five years in prison, WTSP-TV reported.

A search at the couple's home last week turned up more child porn images and evidence that the two were making videos with a cell phone.

They were charged on Wednesday with sexual battery of a child, promoting sexual performance by a child and child porn possession.

Investigators found the little girl in Polk County and turned her over to the Florida Department of Children and Families, according to WTSP-TV.

Police were investigating reports that the girl's mother gave her to Johnson and Sparks, according to WSOC-TV.

"Literally, two animals are off the streets, a little girl is hopefully now going to be able to rebuild her life moving forward," Scott told the station.
