Yes, the media pounces (no pun intended) on instances when Pits attack, but they don't report on what the circumstances were surrounding said attack. Humans often place themselves in harms way by doing stupid things. Owners too must take responsibility for ensuring their pet is safe. My Pit female is as tame and docile as a Lab. Those that train animals to fight or mistreat them are excrement indeed, but don't blame the Pit, the media is reporting every instance and then sensationalizing it.
