Subject: Until they age out, or go broke trying :) Seriously not all girls are doing it for the 'win'. Some girls know in thier hearts that they arent in the league of the winners but they still compete...comradarie, experience, entertainment, chance to travel, the opportunity to dress up, a reason to wear a tiara. They all have different reasons. Some are in it for the win, and most of the time they do have a chance or they are being 'lead' into believing they have a chance. Most of the girls who dont have a chance really do know it deep down inside (unless they are completely delusional) but regardless, if they arent hurting anyone, and they are having fun copeting, who are we to say they shouldnt compete? Besides it makes the stand outs stand out more if there are some average girls, doesnt it?

Krystle Stewart, the current Miss USA tried like a 100 times before she won. (I think at least 5). (NT)Brent21:43:02 11/30/08 Sun
There ya go! Every year there is a new line up of girls so its not like a delegate is competiing in the 'same competition' every time. Some years may have stronger girls, some years may have weaker...wouldnt it suck to always wonder 'what if?' rather than take the chance (regardless of other peoples opinions because no matter what anyone says its something you do for yourself and no one else so you should be the only one who matters).
