| Subject: Its very confusing. Leon was the national host, Cathy owns the pageant. I 'believe' Leon bought the franchise rights to hold the event in Jamaica, was supposed to arrange hotel, food, events, either by sponsorship or to pay for himself with delegates entry fees. Naturally some of the fees would go to the head office as they supply the crowns and sashes but from what I understand he didnt pay the hotel bill and it is questionable if the delegates were fed. From what it sounds like he vanished halfway through & the delegates, and others pulled teh show together in spite of his actions. Im not sure how much of a role Cathy, the owner played in making sure the event came off successfully either but it seems as though one of the delegates really wants to blame her as well. I worked very closely with the girls to help them get there since thier 'director' dropped out of sight instead of coming through as promised. I will get info as I get it from the horses mouth, not rumours or innuendo :) |
