Subject: Great here we go again with Mary Richardson giving a title to a girl she has no rights to use. Subject Author Date She is really pretty this girl she actually applied to us but did not want to enter but I would like to know two things. I think Canada has A LOT of pageants my goodness. Just most suck. And what international pageants has she done there are not many for teens and really you need to go through MTCW or globe or what ever to get to them you generally can not apply at large to a international pageant I know she did glaxy..... but glaxy and that international one is not really a "international" pageant. its really canada plus all the USA states represented. (NT) Michelle 15:56:22 02/20/11 Sun The thing with the US edition of Miss International, and Miss Galaxy is neither of them are real international pageants. State delegates compete against international' delegates for the same title. The 'international' girls are not always from the country they represent, thier parents may be, they are heritage titles more than anythng, given to fill slots. There are next to no prelims for 'Miss International' they just take whoever applies and pays the fee.....and they allow girls to use titles they KNOW are not available for them to use hiding behind thier US trademark of the name Miss International, knowing full well that they are creating confusion to promote thier event and get delegates to enter. I dont know what other international pageants this girl has competed in, perhaps she did a lot of the kiddie pageants over the border. I would put money that she was talked out entering MTCW or any other pagent in Canada by her Galaxy directors. Perhaps the newspaper should be informed so they can make the appropriate corrections. Its so frustrating when 'news' outlets print pieces without any fact checking just taking the statements from the person interviewed as solely the truth.
