Six of these girls will be selected as finalists and get to compete at the 2009 Miss World Canada pageant. I thought that there were going to choose the TOP 6 girls overall, but the girls were divided into “regions”. Northern BC, Interior BC, Greater Vancouver BC, Vancouver Island BC, Fraser Valley BC, and an overall winner Miss BC. There was only 1 contestant from Northern BC so she automatically won that title, 3 contestants from the Island, 3 contestants from the Interior, 8 contestants from Greater Vancouver, and 10 contestants from the Fraser Valley. It didn’t make sense. You’d think that BC would want to send the best 6 contestants onto Miss World Canada so that they have a chance of winning the title.
