| Subject: Did you announce your date last august when MCI picked thiers? Michelle, MCI's date was chosen before you even started MTCW, again no conspiracy. We coonsidered changing our date after you announced yours but a lot of our materials were printed, people had already booked time off of work (a lot of the volunteers use thier annual vacation time to come to MCI to volunteer). We decided against it due to the cost and inconvenience to our people. Again, no conspiracy, coincidence. The goal was to get it out of August for a number of reasons, other events was just part of it. MCI will decide the dates for next year's pageant at this years pageant, just like they did last year, before the crowning, while all the volunteers and board members are together, they won't announce it until they are ready though, but I can assure you the date selection has nothing to do with you. I am certain MCI would like to avoid the confusion just the same as you but at this point it is what it is. |
