We are excited to announce Marc Kielburger CEO of Free the Children will be accepting the Cheque at the show on July 25th The 2009 contestants have been fund raising for them in their community! We are donating over $20,000!
Marc was recently selected by World Economic Forum as one of the 250 Young Global Leaders. His Work has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, BBC and many other news and print media. www.freethechildren.com
With involvement of more than a thousand Youth in Action Groups, Free The Children has built more than 500 schools throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America providing daily education to more the 50,000 Children. FTC latest initiative is a joint project with Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network called O Ambassadors. A program designed to educate and inspire more than 1million youth across North America to take action and help others.
The new Miss Teen Canada-World will be traveling with FTC to one of their projects and assisting in building a school, through the Me To We project.
