Subject: MUC entry fee is about $750-800 and it is responsibility of a contestant to raise that money thru sponsors. In some cases, if you don't raise enough you may pay half of this amount. Anyway, you don't have to spend a fortune for other stuff, so a max of $2,000. Well, you may spend $20K and find yourself in top 40. Some folks here are trying to exaggerate. It would be nice to hear from real MUC contestants about their expenses. Subject Author Date I know of a contestant who was "recruited" and paid no entry fee at all. I also know a contestant from another province who paid something like $3200-3400 for the entry fee. (I don't remember what the exact number was anymore.). And no, "folks" are not trying to exaggerate the numbers at all. They're telling it like it is! Pageants are expensive!
