Subject: Journalists get details wrong, perhaps more often than they should. For example, when Tim McLean was slain in that brutal Greyhound bus incident,, media reports initially identified him as "Aboriginal". He is not "Aboriginal", but he had physical features that would make some people make this mistake. Anyhow, it's unfortunate that journalists get the details incorrectly but they're only human.

In reply to: Christi 's message, "Ya except that it is not the first time this has happened. There is a history of misrepresentation, to delegates, the press and to sponsors. It could be a reporter not doing thier job, but as I said, it has happened repeatedly in the past." on 09:26:56 08/27/08 Wed

yes journaists make mistakes, but my point is that it is not just the journalists who make the misrepresentation. The globe pageant has been represented by its own organizers to delegates and sponsors as the pageant who is ssupporting the teddy bears of hope, they have also used MCI's scholarship information in the past, etc. Instead of resting on thier own laurels they are constantly using other pageants credits (including miss universe, whiich I have seen marketing marterials with my own eyes). Nothing about this pageant is up and up, it is shady to say the least and I am interested in hearing more from the delegate who had her post removed regarding her experience. And anyone else who has something to add. I also have a verry interesting news article somewhere around here about the pageant and organizers that I read last year when another pageant in the USA was ready to sue them for lying about holding one of thier titles.
