Subject: Go to your nearest reservation and ask how they feel about it. It IS insulting and it IS offensive to the Natives to have a non-native play 'dress-up' with thier traditions. It is neither an honour or a white persons 'roots'. The comparison to sari's in India isnt even close to being the same thing.

In reply to: :) 's message, "Oops, just noticed a little error in my previous post: ***It's the same thing as saying that someone from India that wears a sari is being disrespectful. And now you may say, but at least the person is Indian. But say the Indian rep was an immigrant herself? You still want your costume to be recognized and associated with your country. It's about the association to the country, not who wears it. That is why it is called a "national costume". No sarcasm implied. I'm just being honest." on 10:05:56 11/13/07 Tue
