Subject: I agree with sending the best possible lady to compete, however it seems to me that the are trying to stack the deck with brunettes of european origin and that becomes unfair. Even when a winner is crowned she seems to have her style changed even more to try and fit some standard they believe exists. Natalie didn't win because she was dark haired, tall and from Europe she won because she was the best. Trying to send cookie cutter types hasn't been successful over the last two years so they need to go back to the girl who blows their socks off regardless of haircolor or descent.

I understood Alice's win after Natalie. Alice was spectacular in her own right. She did very well at Miss Universe, and deservedly so. The problem was in picking Inga last year. Facially, she was not beautiful and predictably she did nothing at Miss Universe. I don't know why they didn't choose Ramona, who would have at least given us another semi-finalist position, if not better. It seems Inga was a fixed result. She certainly was on nobody's radar. No-one would have chosen her or even mentioned her before her win. I think a deluded MUC thought another Russian would do well. They should have opened their eyes. Natalie was a unique woman and will probably go down as one of the best Miss Universes ever. Inga was no Natalie and didn't deserve her win. (NT)Brent02:11:32 02/07/08 Thu
