Subject: MCG, you are going to have to get a thicker skin if you are going to stay in the beauty pageant business. When a contestant puts herself out there as a "beauty" queen, she is going to be judged-- and not just by the judges at the pageant. If she says, "Hey look at me, I'm special, I'm a beauty queen," she can't expect everyone to agree that she is in fact special or beautiful. And just because someone is chosen by some pageant business and gets a Miss Canada title, doesn't necesarily mean that all Canadians feel she is representing them. This message is not about Britanny, but really about anyone one who competes in a beauty contest. Expect criticism along with the praise. That's the name of the game.
