I've seen pinout diagrams in some of the text files on the site, but I'm not sure if any of them mention color. If you go to <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.deja.com/group/rec.games.vectrex">http://www.deja.com/group/rec.games.vectrex</a> and ask in the Vectrex newsgroup, there are a few folks in there that know the pinouts like the back of of their hands...

found it in the svc. manual.......spent a whole buck on a used genesis controller and soldered it in.....works great!
