Personally, I loved this movie. G.I. Jane plays out the story of a young female naval officer who attempts the enormous task of being the first female Navy Seal. Demi Moore's acting during some of the more personal scenes isn't noteworthy but she does do an excellent job of showing the determination of her character. Viggo plays the hardcase Navy Seal in charge of whipping the group of hopefuls into a full fledged and functioning elite military team. I won't lie to you, he really plays an ass in this film. ;) His portrayal of a Seal is perfection. (Not to mention that his physique for this movie is spectacular, especially in the short-shorts and tight tshirts! ^_^) Best scene: Viggo and Demi fight it out at a mock enemy hq/jail/thing. They just WAIL on each other, blood everywhere. The story line kindof goes off on a tangent towards the ending, but redeems itself when the last subtly touching scene focuses on the respect found between Viggo and Demi's character. Other people I know have said they don't like it because it's too unrealistic, "cheesy", and that Demi Moore overplays her character, but if you want a movie about female triumphs, perserverance, or if you just want to see Viggo in short-shorts, I recommend you rent this. ;D
