I have a pocket watch given to my GreatGranfather in or around Nanaimo Vancouver between 1907 and 1911. We believe he recieved the watch as reward for his part in the rescue of fellow coal miners in some disaster but we have no further detail. He returned to Cumberland England in 1911. The watch is an Elgin watch serial 13259694 with a Hudsongold filled case ref 1648202.
Can anyone help me with further information please. I know he registered with the British Columbian Mining Authority.
