At 7 jewels, it is indeed at the low end. A 7 jewel watch would also not be made with the same level of fit and finish as higher grades. But, "low grade" does not mean "inaccurate" or "unreliable" - it can and should keep time quite well, in fact. Friction from the metal-on-metal bearing points in a 7 jewel watch will, over time, result in wear which will reduce accuracy over one that is more highly jeweled, however; in a watch of a higher grade these bearing points will be jeweled, which reduces friction and wear and, therefore, makes for a higher quality watch overall.
