 I've been looking many yearsfor a gold-colored band such that came with my Elgin Sportsman when I got it new in 1962. Does anyone here know of some who has a large number of these bands available, or would sell it as part of a watch for a low price? The watch needn't work, obviously; I'm only interested in the band.
Does anyone know of ads for these watches from the early '60s period that might show details of these metal bands? I'm amazed how many Elgin Sportsmans I keep seeing on eBay and elsewhere yet never with a band such as mine came with. It might have been used for other Elgins as well. Thanks.
