My mom was a servivor of the 1934 cruise ship Morro Castle.
She jumped overboard with her Elgin watch and dropped 30 ft into the Atlantic Ocean. Her Elgin watch ran for two hours before stopping. Today I am donating it to the Morro Castle Musuem in Beach Haven. I have the original letter that the Elgin company sent back to her telling her the watch could not be repaired due to the salt water damage. I have had it for 75 years.
