The mention of summertime play reminds me of the short-lived Pro Beach Hockey league. It was rollerhockey, played at a rink on the beach in California (go figure).

Vashi Nedomansky (former Sea Wolf) played for the Heavy Metal. We even have a replica jersey.

Anyone else remember the PBH? The games were televised on ESPN2.
