Just Another Restless Night

While tossing and turning
As I imagined the worse
Just another restless night
Its an insomniacs curse

Having too many thoughts
Going through my head
Many things came to mind
While I am laying in bed

Plagued by a lack of sleep
Often until morning light
Gazing through the window
Acquainted with the night

I became a nocturnal being
Mind tracking to and fro
Each night I thought of you
Yet dreams left long ago
