After reading his closing line of the post
I stopped and considered the wisdom in it
Should I even enter this challenge
Or just walk away and once again be a ghost

I‘ll stay since it’s the fault of the host
If he just hadn’t used that line
I could be like fall foliage and ride the wind
Wonder if I could coast as far as coast

Maybe I will take him to court
Make him redress for the problems he caused
It’s just that I write so seldom anymore
Maybe I could find one of those silly torts

How dare he, push me along this course
To change the pathways of my night
Rendering me naked to the wiles of my mind
That line has it’s own gravitational force

Yes, Alan, I have had fun with you and your last line
“You’ve nothing better to these dark nights,”
Now that I am done I hope you can feel my plight
As in come the dancing girls and the wine.
