I recollected so much
Had they remembered less
Maybe they are the one
Who continued to progress

Had they forgotten me
I am still in the same place
Was it easier for them
To vanish without any trace

What of their thoughts
Was I still in their memory
Had there been a clue
Perhaps I had failed to see

The words forever friend
I remember they often said
Yet I check obituaries
Wondering if they are dead

Saying frequent prayers
Had been helping me cope
Will their be good news
Should I continue with hope
