Macy's, Stacy's, K Mart, Shopsmart
Cash Register crescendo Chorus's

People Playin, Stayin, Workin, Prayin
All part of the city beat
Nurses, Doctors, Businessmen, Workers
Peoples doin that walk for life
Cursin, Complainin, Smilin or just plain jerkers
Watchers, Walkers or cool smooth talkers

We are the sound of the City
Sometimes we rage and smile
Sometimes we just ain't pretty
Murder's, Mugger's, Police siren buggers
Fire engine forte's dueling Paramedic vans

Inner City parkland's peaceful savvies
Luncheon lovers cooing on grasslands
Icecream Minstrals soft cone servers
Hot Dog carters selling wares
Newspaper Boys singing headlines

Like the sounds of the band
We all contribute to this city crew
We are together, alone and a few
We are the homeless the rich and the poor
The sound of life's Jazz and its ever changing score
