Subject: A "Hello" to All--- on this Memorial Day

Wow, where does the time go! Memorial Day is upon us. Although I never went overseas or fired a round in anger;
my thoughts are now with some of my buddies who did, such as Danny Kehoe, a young Irish lad--- killed in action on St. Patricks Day, 1952. And especially for those who were lost during the then "heavy 'state-side' training," such as 2/Lt. Joe Bucher, a big red-headed lad who bled to death alone and overlooked--- a tragic night training excercise---
Through the wonders of email; I was just able to make contact with one of my classmates; we were in the 120th EOBC, Ft. Belvoir. The brown boot, Eisenhower jacket, M1 Garand. The Bailey Bridge and M4T6. Again, where does the time go!

My thoughts are on the hope of better days; when Nations
will realize the horror of war. For a kinder and more gentle society. Less anger and more tolerance.

I know you all wish this too--- And I'm sure that someday this will be true. My Best to You and Yours,
