Rick... no problem... I'm still getting out and about using various older models of VLF- detectors. Unfortunatly there are many who cannot afford the now expensive line of PI- types which have grond canceling ability and use larger search coils. They become discouraged. But, for those who are willing to use the older machines it can be excellent training before they "move" up to the PI-type gold machines.

Try and contact scott thorpe if you can. He has knowledge and access to information of Compass usese you will find helpful.

I wonder if Compass... Scott... could find through this forum... as it is slow... to get permission to post the
Compass forum on this forum... Scott has the original forum
"archives" that he has been able to access.

Moreover, I have some old Compass accessories that I have rat-holed over the years. My Gold Scanner Pro has an early
serial number; about 840P. It has many added "mods" such as
the updates that your GSP now has.

As far as my last communication with Sue Goss, Steve was concentrationing on repairing existing Compass detectors.

Again contact Scott. He is the "man." I monitor this forum, so let me know... But keep in mind I'm not in anyway associated with Compass or any other manufacturer. I do not sell detectors. Just a user. But back in the late 1980's Compass was one of the leaders... the "ID" function on their metered analogue machines was then as accurate as any of the other "swinging" needle type.
