In my opinion, the best "two coil combo" for the MXT is the standard 950 and the 6.75" X 3.5" Mini DD "Shooter" coil. The Mini DD gets nearly as much depth as the bigger coil, but is more sensitive to smaller nuggets, handles "bad" ground better, and can be probed into tight areas where the bigger coil cannot go. The Mini DD is a "must" for the serious MXT user. The Mini DD retails for $149.95, but can be had for around $100.00 if you shop around. Hope this helps; HH Jim (WWW.GOLDHUNTER.COM)
