You are a persistant guy! Yeah Ray and I got tired of digging up junk so we moved on to detecting the bottom of the stringer pits and the sidewalls.
I'm heading out to Goler tomorrow and going to hit that weird outcrop that's in between where Slate Canyon dumps into the gulch and the narrows. Boy the soil has really calcified on that rock, but nothing a pick can't solve and yes I too will have the small eliptical coil on my Diablo II Gold Demon. I'm also bringing my cheapo Radio Shack VLF that I use to determine where the greateat amount of black sand is, theoretically it should be on the downward face of this raised bedrock, but we all know theory and fact aren't always the same!

So I'll be drywashing that stuff too if I can pulverize it, plus the dirt surrounding the bedrock.

Man, I sure have been having fun with my new D.A.M. blue bowl! It sure gets down to the flour much better than my Spirial Wheel and I've been using anhydrous Citric Acid as a prewash and unbelievable how much gold is trapped in the minerals. I'm next going to get some anhydrous ascetic acid (70%) as it gets the much more of the minerals off than citric acid. The best is Hydroxy acetic acid but it's WAY too expensive (a.k.a. glycolic acid)-over $100 bucks a gallon :>( .

Talk with you later.

Randy aka buckwheat
