Subject: Great Time at West Coast Hunt

Howdy-- the PLP hunt on the Taft on Easter day went well. Had 27 participants plus a few kids in the free hunt.

Due to the nature of the hunt, 27 participants was about capacity. Planted 9-equal squares and a wild nugget was found in square-2. The planted nuggets averaged about 5-grains each and were 22 carat. Also silver and a token for a Gold Basin Meteorite. Everyone got at least one nugget and thanks to liberal donations more than enough prizes for every participant. A Tesoro Compadre was the detector.

I just returned from the West Coast hunt. Was in 4-events and managed to find a pouchful of clad, silver, and tokens for two silver rounds. Best yet, Lady Luck was with me and I walked off with the Tesoro Cortes (in the main drawing).

Looking ahead, the Antelope Valley 17th Annual High Desert Showdown will be October 11th & 12th at the Totem Pole Ranch, 34729 Cheseboro Road in Little Rock, CA.

Looking further ahead; October 24-25-26 will be the AMDA hunt in Laughlin, Nevada.

At my age, this is about as far as I plan ahead
