Hey Pat--

Ya mention the Infinium and my old ears perked up like a puppy. I also have one and I just got the Australian-made "circular" 10-inch DD coil for it from the Gold Mining Centre. Have not tried it out as of yet. Unfortunately, w/o the Mono's, having an Infinium is like having Micheal Andretti's race car with just passenger car street tires.

My detecting buddy; and also my "ride" swings a 2200d with a Coiltek. Nuff said about that subject. However, I have found the 17000 with the 6-inch circular DD a winning combination in 32 kHz, but not that great in the alkali areas that abound in some parts of w. Nevada.

Getting back to the LS; with the 10x14-inch DD it punches down through the shallow alkali overburden, but not overly sensitive to small sub-gram bits.
