Randy-- I have done considerable prospecting for scheelite with a blacklamp around central Nevada, detected for gold, and even drywashed at night. Only once a problem; back about 30 years ago with my late bro. Tom. The snake scooted into the rocks unidentifed.

Back in the summer of 1948 in Robinson Canyon between Ely and Keystone Grade, I worked for NNRR. The small rattlers were everywhere; even to scoot between our legs as we used tongs to move the rails.

Just be alert, keep your hands away from rocks and brush.

Have you heard anything from Charlie S.-- ?
