Wish I was an expert on using my TDI. Mostly I'm an expert on reading everything ever posted about it!

It runs smoothly and gives good depth in the places where my VLF's are limited by the mineralization.

Probably the most interesting thing is how the ground balance is used to generate two tones and then the Hi/Lo conductor switch can supress one of the tones. I suspect that more will be done with this in the future - for example some arrangement to switch between two different ground balance settings without having to move the GB control knob.

There are a lot of things which can be tried to "analyze" targets. GB settings and pulse delay settings both affect response and can be used to check out a target and potentially provide a reasonably reliable means to discriminate between gold and ferrous trash. Reg Sniff is probably further into this than anyone right now and has posted lots of information about it.
